“Stevens’ singing is remarkable, soulful, pitch-perfect and subtle in its controlled acrobatics” The Winston-Salem Journal

The music of American singer/songwriter and guitarist Becca Stevens offers a beguiling blend of head and heart that resists easy categorisation as heard on her 2011 release Weightless (Sunnyside). She has worked in Travis Sullivan’s Bjorkestra and Eric Harland’s Band; performed with Taylor Eigsti, Greg Hutchinson and Brad Mehldau; produced her own choral composition, Soli Deo Gloria, and is part of the trio Tillery with fellow singer/songwriters Rebecca Martin and Gretchen Parlato. Her much acclaimed group, the Becca Stevens Band, embraces elements of pop, jazz and folk with earthy vocal harmonies, exquisitely understated arrangements and seamlessly crafted tunes to create a stunning soundscape all their own. With Liam Robinson (accordion, keyboards, vocals), Chris Tordini (upright bass, vocals), Jordan Perlson (drums and percussion) and Becca on voice, guitar, ukulele and charango this UK debut is not to be missed.
