A truly jaw-dropping end to the Festival with this double bill of Belgian singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, David Linx, with Dutch pianist-composer Diederik Wissels and the ongoing partnership between Georgia and Britain’s finest singer/pianist/songwriter Ian Shaw.

David Linx has worked in an amazing range of settings including Clark Terry, The Count Basie Orchestra, Roy Ayers, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Billy Cobham, Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Ivan Lins, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and John Cage. His 20 year partnership with the award-winning Wissels (Chet Baker, Joe Henderson, Toots Thielemans, Philippe Catherine) has produced a vast catalogue of sophisticated yet earthy originals.

One of the leading jazz vocalists of our time, BBC award-winner, Ian Shaw, has appeared with: Quincy Jones, Abdullah Ibrahim, Cedar Walton, Claire Martin, Guy Barker, and Joe Lovano amongst others. Ian performed on Georgia’s 2010 album, Silhouette, and they have also collaborated at: the London Jazz Festival (2009), The True Jazz Voice (2008) and as part of a choir formed by Ian and led by the legendary Bobby McFerrin (Meltdown 2009). Tonight, expect everything from Noel Coward to The Beatles, Antonio Carlos Jobim to David Bowie.
