“An exceptional singer [who] performed a supremely understated and heartwarming set” – Jazzwise
ReVoice! welcomes back stellar Italian vocalist, Barbara Raimondi, who first appeared in 2011 with her Latin trio Contigo en la Distancia. Proving her irrefutable jazz credentials she debuts Singin’ Ornette – A Celebration of Mr Coleman’s Music . With repertoire taken mainly from his Impulse! period, Barbara has written lyrics and vocalese that travel to the heart of this incredible musician and focus on his melodic side.
Her partner in crime is the much acclaimed British saxophonist, Tony Kofi (Abdullah Ibrahim, Dr Lonnie Smith, Julian Joseph) alongside Italian bassist Furio Di Castri (Joe Henderson, Michel Petrucciani, Richard Galliano) and drummer Enzo Zirilli (Tom Harrell, Dado Moroni, Jack DeJohnette)
“Excellent pianist” – The Guardian
The CV of young British pianist, Ross Stanley, is testament to his wide-ranging talents: Eddie Gomez, Jamie Cullum, Nigel Hitchcock, Guy Barker, Tom Jones, Maceo Parker, Deodato, Trevor Horn and Goldie. Tonight he and Georgia debut a collection of songs old and new.
