Time Out
Programming, presenting and performing over a whopping 9 nights, award-winning vocalist/lyricist/producer Georgia Mancio (Bobby McFerrin, Sheila Jordan, Ian Shaw, Gwilym Simcock) announces the 3rd edition of her international voice festival, ReVoice!
Over the past two years, Georgia has proved an innovative programmer – Karin Krog, Diana Torto with Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor and Palle Danielsson, Rebecca Parris, David Linx, Maria Pia de Vito and Norma Winstone. At ReVoice! 2011 she gave Gregory Porter his very first UK booking. One of the music world’s fastest rising stars, Porter is now returning to open this year’s festival. Presented once again by The Pizza Express Jazz Club, ReVoice! 2012 is also collaborating with international producers, ESIP/Global Mix, on two concerts by the incredible Raul Midón and Tuck & Patti at The Union Chapel, Time Out Venue of the Year. Other highlights include: the long-awaited return of Jhelisa Anderson; ex-Basie powerhouse Jamie Davis; the ever-lauded Liane Carroll, and the UK debuts of rising stars, Becca Stevens Band and astonishing acapella group, Mycale, performing the music of founder/composer John Zorn.
